Interior Design by Rita Chraibi
Set within the historic Steinway Tower at 111 West 57th Street, the Louis Vuitton Residence is an immersive interior design collaboration conceived by Rita Chraibi in partnership with the French fashion house Louis Vuitton. Developed by JDS Group, the project occupies a 4,492-square-foot full-floor residence overlooking Central Park, transforming one of Manhattan's most iconic Art Deco towers into a refined domestic installation.
Rita Chraibi serves as the principal creative authority at International Designers, shaping the residence's architectural interior language. Working as an international luxury interior designer in New York, her approach privileges authorship, spatial discipline, and cultural continuity, ensuring the collaboration remains architecturally led rather than fashion-driven.
Celebrating the tower's architectural heritage, Chraibi's vision distills the elegance of 1920s Art Deco geometry, verticality, symmetry, and restraint into a contemporary language of light, proportion, and materiality. The result is an interior that feels both historically grounded and unmistakably modern, where architectural clarity frames elevated city living.
A Dialogue Between Fashion, Design, and Architecture
Designed in close collaboration with Louis Vuitton, the residence integrates emblematic pieces from the Maison's Objets Nomades collection. Conceived as sculptural expressions of travel, craftsmanship, and experimentation, these works function as curated focal points throughout the home-blurring the line between furniture, art, and collectible design.
The Objets Nomades collection features a distinguished roster of international designers, including Atelier Biagetti, Fernando and Humberto Campana, Patricia Urquiola, Studio Zanellato/Bortotto, Atelier oï, Frank Chou, and Marcel Wanders Studio. Their contributions introduce movement, tactility, and sculptural presence-deepening the dialogue between historic architecture and contemporary design innovation.
A Curated Residence Above Central Park
Throughout the residence, Chraibi employs a restrained, light-filled palette that allows form and craftsmanship to take precedence. Sculptural lines, refined materials, and carefully calibrated sightlines frame panoramic views of Central Park, reinforcing a sense of elevation and quiet sophistication. Each space unfolds as a composed moment, distinct yet unified by a disciplined architectural language.
Presented as a four-week exhibition, the Louis Vuitton Residence invited visitors into a world where luxury interior design, fashion, and architecture converge. Positioned within one of the tallest and most elegant residential towers in the Western Hemisphere, the project reflects elevated urban living defined by precision, cultural legacy, and modern craftsmanship.
Conceived and directed by Maison Royale, the Louis Vuitton Residence stands as a definitive expression of Rita Chraibi's architectural interior practice. From spatial sequencing to material selection, this high-end residential design in Manhattan reinforces her position as an international interior designer.
